OUM has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Faith Events to enhance Islamic education and promote interfaith understanding in Malaysia. The MoU was formalised on 6 March, with OUM represented by Vice President and Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic & Research), Prof Datuk Dr Mohd Tajudin Md Ninggal.
Prof Datuk Dr Mohd Tajudin said the partnership reflects OUM’s commitment to expanding educational opportunities that combine academic and spiritual elements.
“This initiative aligns with OUM’s mission to promote lifelong learning by embracing diverse perspectives. The partnership underscores the importance of integrating faith and education to ensure a more holistic learning experience for all segments of society,” he said.
Faith Events Founder and CEO, Khairul Amar Razali, said the collaboration is a key step in strengthening Islamic education.
“This MoU aims to develop Islamic courses and programmes while promoting Islamic teachings and cross-cultural understanding. It also involves sharing resources and expertise to enhance the quality of educational and motivational events,” he shared.
The partnership includes organising Islamic events that provide a more comprehensive learning experience for the community.
Faith Events specialises in hosting seminars, lectures, and conferences based on Islamic values, aiming to promote understanding and harmony among people of different faiths and cultures.
This collaboration comes as OUM marks its 25th anniversary, as the University continues to lead in open and distance learning with a steadfast commitment to providing innovative and accessible education.
