In an Innovation Culture Forum on 12 January, METEOR Sdn Bhd took a significant step towards organisational rejuvenation through digital transformation. The event featured industry experts discussing key facets of digital transformation and its pivotal role in shaping organisational culture.
METEOR GCEO Dato’ Naharudin Ali underscored the company’s commitment to innovation. He outlined key indicators, including user engagement and learning outcomes, as crucial benchmarks for METEOR’s successful digital journey.
SIRIM GCEO Dato’ Indera Ir Dr Hj Ahmad Sabirin Arshad shared insights into SIRIM’s digital transformation, emphasising the strategic execution plans driving digital leadership. He noted that there must be a balance between investing in emergent technologies and improving existing systems for an effective digital shift.
Meanwhile, SIRIM Digital Factory GM Ts Nurul Haszeli Ahmad highlighted the role of hackathon as a catalyst for innovation culture. He touched on using hackathons to spark ideas and build sustainable innovation ecosystems within organisations, which would in turn foster continuous learning and experimentation.
Next, Dato’ Naharudin unveiled METEOR’s Innovation Culture Programme Icon, MINNO, a genderless robot symbolising innovation. MINNO, the brainchild of Centre for Instructional Design and Technology (CiDT), stands as a powerful representation of METEOR’s commitment to fostering an innovative culture.
Digital transformation, as highlighted in the discussions, is more than a technological shift—it’s a cultural evolution. The adoption of digital practices fosters a culture of innovation within organisations. METEOR’s upcoming hackathon event was announced, aiming to further unleash creativity and problem-solving.
