If you are one of them or their loved ones, mark your calendars for our 28th Convocation, taking place at the World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur (WTCKL) from 26 to 29 October. This year’s convocation promises to be a huge celebration, featuring eight sessions – four in the morning and four in the evening. We will be honouring approximately 6,000 graduates.
Our President/Vice-Chancellor, Prof Dr Ahmad Izanee Awang, will kick off each session with an inspiring welcoming address and our Pro Chancellor, YBhg Tan Sri Azman Hashim, will present the scrolls. To cap it all off, a graduate representative will share their insights at the first and final sessions, ensuring that every voice is heard.
Most of our graduates (nearly 3,000) have earned bachelor’s degrees, while roughly 2,000 more have completed our Postgraduate Diploma in Teaching. The others have completed their doctorate, master’s, and diploma programmes.
In terms of age diversity, we have around 2,500 graduates aged 21 to 30 and another 2,500 in the 31 to 40 range. It’s exciting to see more young people choosing higher education that offers the flexibility and online delivery that OUM is known for.
We’re also thrilled to honour nearly 50 graduates over the age of 61. They are proving that it’s never too late to pursue your dreams.
To our graduates: please find out your graduation session by visiting convocation.oum.edu.my. Be sure to explore the site thoroughly – it’s packed with essential information about what to do before, during, and after the ceremony.
As you gear up to celebrate this significant milestone, remember that your hard work and dedication have brought you here, and we couldn’t be prouder of you. OUM will always stand by you, cheering you on as you step into the next exciting phase of your journey.
