Vietnam Partners Come for Study Visit

One of our best-performing partner institutions beyond Malaysia is Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) in Vietnam. This collaboration, which began in 2011, has produced a total of 1,704 graduates. The majority of them – 1,312 – had taken our MBA programme.

With the aim of exchanging valuable knowledge and experience, we played host to a 13-member delegation from HUTECH from 6 to 8 December. The delegation was led by HUTECH Vice Chairman, Assoc Prof Bui Xuan Lam.

The study visit covered both academic and management aspects. The HUTECH team met with the OUM management and visited our Digital Library on the first day.

On the second day, they attended eye-opening presentations on teaching and learning through OUM’s digital platform, myINSPIRE; content development processes; campus management system; and quality assurance. They also found out how modules, which are the main learning materials for OUM students, are developed.

The third day involved final discussions before the delegation departed for home sweet home.
