- Bachelor of Manufacturing Management with Honours (BMMG)
Starting in September 2024, our BMMG will include the SIRIM-Certified Lean Management Executive (SIRIM CLME) certification. This certification, delivered through online training by SIRIM Academy, focuses on lean management principles aimed at reducing waste while boosting productivity – these are essential skills for any future manufacturing leader.
- Master of Quality Management (MQM)
Our MQM is ideal for those who aspire to lead quality initiatives. It includes prestigious certifications such as the Total Quality Fast Track Assessor, ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, Certified Quality Manager, and Certified Quality Professional. - Bachelor of Science in Project and Facility Management with Honours (BPFM)
Facility management is crucial in today’s complex work environments. Our BPFM includes the SIRIM Certified Facility Management System Executive (SIRIM CFMSE) certification. - Master of Facility Management (MFM)
For those aiming to take the lead in facility management, our MFM offers the SIRIM Certified Facility Management System Manager (SIRIM CFMSM) certification. You will be trained to conduct comprehensive FM systems audits, manage risks, and lead auditor training according to ISO 41001:2018.
Expert Insights: A Panel Discussion with SIRIM Representatives
To delve deeper into the benefits and structure of these programmes, OUM hosted a panel discussion with two distinguished representatives from SIRIM Academy: Aliza Zainal Munir, Head of Quality, and Abdul Razak Mohd Yunus, Head of Technology.
Aliza highlighted the origins of the collaboration between OUM and SIRIM Academy, which began in 2015 and was formalised in 2016. She also provided insight into the SIRIM CLME certification, noting that it equips students with the skills needed to implement structured lean management practices based on the SIRIM 12 standard.
Abdul Razak discussed the certifications offered in the BPFM and MFM programmes, explaining the rigorous training involved. For example, the SIRIM CFMSE certification in the BPFM programme requires 4 days of online training, covering ISO 41001:2018 standards and internal auditing. Meanwhile, MFM students undergo 8 days of comprehensive training, ensuring they are well-prepared to lead in the field of facility management.
