Raya Buzz at Learning Centres
While our grand Raya open house was held in the Klang Valley on 30 April, the merriment didn’t stop there. As our staff, students and alumni are spread across Malaysia, we also hosted 5 regional open houses for our Learning Centres.
The university management led by Prof Dr Ahmad Izanee Awang (OUM President/Vice-Chancellor) and HR staff took turns joining the celebrations, making each event even more special.
The regional festivities kicked off in the southern zone on 3 May, with the Batu Pahat Learning Centre playing host.
The spirit of Raya then travelled north, where the Sungai Petani Learning Centre took centre stage for the northern zone’s open house on 7 May.
The East Coast joined the party on 16 May, with the Kuala Terengganu Learning Centre becoming the gracious host.
Then the Raya cheer spread to Borneo, with the Sibu Learning Centre reigniting the Raya spirit on 23 May for our Learning Centres in Sarawak.
The final gathering took place in Sabah, hosted by the Tawau Learning Centre on 25 May.
These zonal open houses were a fantastic opportunity for our students, alumni, staff, and the local community to connect, exchange warm greetings of “Selamat Hari Raya,” and savour a delicious spread of traditional dishes together.
Ultimately, they were a blast! Despite being a digital university, we know how to have a good time, together with our communities all over Malaysia.
